Wow! I have no idea what she is saying; but man is Yelle hot! It’s one of thoes thing. If i did find out what she was singing about, would I still find it sexy? Or is it just anything said in french is sexy?!?
Yelle a mes bébés!
I saw Sharon & The Dap-Kings three times when they were down here in a few weeks ago. Not easy to tell from this clip but they’re one of the best bands I’ve ever seen.
This album is really good.

I remember not so long ago i was standing in the now defunct “shake some action” night at 161 yelling in Jerry’s ear about how Italo Disco is coming back, how its totally the next big thing and how he should “watch his fucking back” because Italo is out to get him. A few months (maybe a year?) on, and Italo is not back. Italo is not out to get anyone and Italo is still not the next big thing.
Italian Disco was a genre born out of innovation and necessity. In the late 70s and early 80s Italian currency was weak against the US dollar, so American disco records were less profitable to import. With the introduction of relatively cheap drum machines and synthesisers, it was more economical for Italian record labels to fund their own disco productions. Local DJs began experimenting with the new technology, however with little musical experience the results were often simplistic. And this is one of the best things about italo despite the fact that the melodies are simple, the drums are 4/4 and the production is cheap, italo created the foundations that much of modern dance music is based upon.
Without rambling on too much, here is one of the landmark, alltime greatest italo productions. BWH’s amazing “Stop”. First released in 1983.
